Putting Something Down, Then Picking It Up, Is Fine

Or Maybe It's Just Cope

happy friday!

You know how they say third time’s the charm? well, hopefully for this newsletter, the fourth time's the charm, because this is the fourth time I've written online, and each time it was the same story. after a while, I didn't like what I was writing, didn't like how it looked, and didn't like what I had written.

And because I view this as somewhat artistic, I see the desire as having to be intrinsically driven.

For example, if you are selling a product, you (generally) care only what the customer thinks. “You are providing value to them.”

But if you're creating art, you might (and, in some way, should) only care about what you think. “You are doing it for yourself.”

I'm not saying this is one or the other, but hopefully now the content and the format are better than before.

Goal of this newsletter? Uncertain as of now. I don't mix it with my blog which is very much not as curated. But in spirit of all of the content I've seen online about people talking on making progress, this might be a good medium for that, but hopefully more.

Goal of this year? Do anything. I’ll expand on this in length in a later post, maybe next week.

  • Designed logo/graphics for personal venture studio and built website certainventures.com (let me know what you think!) and the name for this newsletter “Certain Views”

    • I had picked the name a while back so that was not this week per se.

  • Chatted with an investment firm about a potential partnership, which will bring my MRR (monthly recurring revenue) up.

  • Started on one art project: picture book.

  • After reading Auren’s tweet, I had some fun going through old emails and refreshing myself on the speed of which some people (who are both successful and well respected) responded. I wrote about that here:

‘Til next time,
